This fund is supported in part by individuals and companies that are not directly involved in the industry.

One of the programs that the Industry Advancement Fund supports is the Newspapers in Education, an initiative that promotes fire sprinkler messages and fire service companies that raise awareness about fire sprinklers. Funding is also directed to Common Voices, a non-profit group that was formed by individuals personally affected by the loss of loved ones in building fires where sprinklers were absent.
